Migraine

Most people know the triggers for their migraines and if you don’t hypnosis can help identify them. Migraine is one of the worst pains possible and can leave you immobilised in bed for days. Sounds and lights will cause extreme discomfort, and the pain can be unbearable. Many people find that these episodes cause disruption to their life and career as they are regularly out of action for prolonged periods of time.

There are a range of techniques that can be used to deal with migraines, and you will be able to easily recognise the triggers and initial messages that a migraine is imminent and your subconscious mind can then use new techniques to lower pain, prevent pain or induce a different reaction instead of pain. Everyone one is different, and therapy is carefully designed to meet the needs of the individual client.

Pain Free?

So can hypnotherapy help? Certainly! And in so many different ways. Everyone is individual and their reasons for migraine can be completely different. What is constant is that when you are hit by a migraine, you are forced to rest quietly whilst your mind and body recover. Using hypnosis, you can remove some of the triggers, such as stress or anxiety and then recognise when your subconscious mind is giving you a message that you need to rest. This may then be taking things slowly and deep breathing, rather than lying in bed for a week.  Whatever the triggers for your migraine, I can tailor a program to your needs addressing the reasons for your migraine so that you reprogram your brain to work in a different way.

For many clients, techniques to remove stress or emotion will allow them to avoid migraine attacks completely. In some cases, a past experience needs to be reprocessed to resolve the migraine. Others use relaxation techniques and Faster EFT to remove or lower the pain so that they are able to continue to function effectively. Many practical things can be done to remove migraine triggers and I will provide information and guidance to go hand in hand with your therapy.
